Volunteer Hairdresser with Hospice Malta

Hospice Malta is looking for qualified professional hairdressers who can give some of their time to patients attending its Day Therapy Unit at St Michael Hospice in Santa Venera.

Volunteer hairdressers use the professional, well-equipped salon on the premises to provide hairdressing services to patients. The service forms part of Hospice Malta’s wider support for patients’ comfort, dignity and well-being.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing professional hairdressing services to Day Therapy Unit patients.
• Using the salon facilities available at St Michael Hospice.
• Offering your professional skills in a sensitive, patient-focused environment.

Who this could suit

This opportunity is for professional, qualified hairdressers aged 18 or over. Volunteers must be based in Malta. Short-term volunteering placements are also accepted.

When and where

The role takes place on Tuesday to Friday mornings at St Michael Hospice in Santa Venera.

How to get involved

Complete Hospice Malta’s volunteer application form online. After receiving an application, Hospice Malta arranges an initial meeting to discuss the volunteer’s interests, skills and availability. Volunteers who proceed are introduced to Hospice Malta and their role through an induction process, with further training available throughout the year.
