Animal Care Volunteer with MSPCA

MSPCA is looking for volunteers aged 18+ to help care for dogs and cats at its animal shelter in Floriana. This is an ongoing volunteering role with a minimum commitment of once a week for three months.
What you’ll be doing
- Helping with feeding and grooming
- Cleaning animal-care areas and helping with laundry
- Walking dogs
- Keeping basic records where required
- Spending time with animals to help them build trust and social confidence
- Helping maintain clean, comfortable and calm spaces for the animals
- Creating enrichment activities such as puzzle feeders or sensory games, depending on your interests and skills
Who this could suit
This role may suit someone who is comfortable around animals, reliable, willing to learn and able to follow instructions. Teamwork, good communication and readiness for light physical tasks are also useful.
When and where
Volunteering takes place at MSPCA in Floriana. Volunteers are asked to commit at least once a week for three months. When applying, you can indicate which days you are available and whether mornings or afternoons suit you best. MSPCA then prepares the volunteer schedule.
