Bird Rehabilitation Centre Volunteer with BirdLife Malta

BirdLife Malta is looking for regular volunteers to support its Bird Rehabilitation Centre, where sick and injured wild birds receive care as they recover before returning to the wild.
What you’ll be doing
- Helping with day-to-day care of birds undergoing rehabilitation
- Cleaning as part of the centre’s daily routine
- Preparing food for birds in care
- Supporting practical tasks that contribute to the birds’ recovery
Training is provided, so previous wildlife rehabilitation experience is not listed as a requirement. Volunteers must be aged 18 or over, be willing to help birds, work carefully and pay attention to detail. A volunteering agreement must also be signed.
When and where
Volunteering takes place from Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 13:00, with one volunteer sched
uled per day. BirdLife Malta is looking for people who can volunteer on a regular basis rather than for a one-off session.
The opportunity takes place in Malta.
How to get involved
If you are based in Malta, complete BirdLife Malta’s volunteering registration form and indicate your interest in supporting the Bird Rehabilitation Centre. The organisation will then follow up regarding volunteering opportunities and the next steps.
