MSPCA – Malta Society for the Protection and Care of Animals – is an animal welfare organisation based in Floriana. Established in 1900, it runs Malta’s oldest home for dogs and cats and works across rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, education and animal-welfare advocacy.

Animals entering MSPCA’s care receive day-to-day support, health checks and rehabilitation before suitable homes are found. The organisation also runs educational and community outreach initiatives that encourage responsible animal care and greater understanding of animal welfare.

Volunteers contribute to the organisation’s work through practical roles including animal care, socialisation, dog walking, cleaning and other shelter support. MSPCA also works with schools, communities and partner organisations to improve awareness and standards of animal care across Malta.
