VolunteersMalta.com proudly took part in the Refugee Week Event held on 19th June at the Council of Europe Garden in Gzira. This event, part of Refugee Week Malta, celebrated the theme “community as a superpower.”

Bringing Communities Together

Refugee Week Malta hosts a series of events that aim to build inclusive communities. It reminds us that small steps can lead to big changes. The festival creates a space where people can connect, share stories, and build understanding among diverse backgrounds.

VolunteersMalta.com’s Contribution

At the event, VolunteersMalta.com had a stand to share information about the platform and its services. Our team explained how individuals can use the platform to find volunteering opportunities close to their hearts. Whether in animal welfare, the environment, or social causes, anyone can find a way to contribute.

Volunteering fits perfectly within the theme “community as a superpower.” It allows people to show up for each other and build caring communities through everyday acts of kindness. By volunteering, we can turn small steps into big changes that improve lives and strengthen connections.

Helping NGOs and Companies

NGOs discovered how easy it is to create a profile on VolunteersMalta.com. They can add as many listings as needed, all free of charge. These listings can target individual volunteers or companies looking to engage in CSR initiatives.

Great Interest from Attendees

The Refugee Week Event attracted a diverse crowd, and there was substantial interest in our stand. Information leaflets and merchandise were handed out to attendees. Many visitors were eager to learn how they could give back to the community through volunteering.

An Evening Filled with Activities

The event featured a balcony greening competition, workshops, eco-games, puppet shows, and even a percussion experience. Families and children enjoyed activities that highlighted the importance of nature and community.

Building a Better Community

VolunteersMalta.com believes in the power of community. By taking part in the Refugee Week Event, we saw how people are ready to contribute to a fairer, healthier society. It is clear that when we show up for each other, we create beautiful and lasting change.
