Smiling with Jerome Foundation was founded after we lost our son, Jerome, from Ewings Sarcoma (Bone Cancer) on the 6th of October 2017 at the age of 20 years.
We take care of families who have been diagnosed with serious illness including Cancer and families whose kids have Rare Diseases, Special Needs or Disability.
We do so without getting paid and all our services and support are for free as well.
In December 2019 we launched the Chemo Bags of Hope Initiative in Malta. These are bags which are distributed to every inpatient (young and old) at SAMOC and patients referred to us by Hospice Malta. Soon we will be giving them as well to the patients at St Michael’s Hospice.
Each bag has items which are valuable to cancer patients. Although each Chemo Bag of Hope has over €60 worth of specialised items, it is given for free to everyone.
Losing a child is every parent’s worst nightmare however through the Smiling with Jerome Foundation we are fully committed to keep Jerome alive by effectively seeking to put a ‘Smile’ and giving ‘Hope’ to every person whom we meet.
