‘Science in the City Goes to School’ activity, TABOO MT! This activity is part of the Science in the City 2024-2025 project, which is part of the EU’s European Researchers’ Night initiative. It connects local researchers with middle school students, offering a unique opportunity to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.

In this fun, interactive TABOO game, students guess which researcher works in which scientific field, while avoiding TABOO words, encouraging creativity and problem-solving. Researchers will share their experiences, demonstrate their work, and lead exciting experiments. This activity promotes STEM careers, highlights the importance of science in daily life, that there is something for everyone, and emphasizes JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) values, debunk misconceptions about research and gender roles, implementing diversity and inspiring students to pursue science careers for a better future.
