Survey details:
The research surveyors will be collecting data as part of the VARCITIES project, which is implementing micro-greening and community engagement activities in Rue d’Argens and surrounding areas, the Council of Europe Gardens, St. Clare College and Stella Maris schools.
Through the residents’ involvement in this research, we want to understand how the areas near Rue d’Argens are impacted by the Gżira Visionary Solutions by collecting data from before and after the implementation. By involving them in this research we aim to learn from their experience what needs we should address and collect feedback and ideas to better inform our project evaluation, specifically we want to know if these Visionary Solutions had any social impact.
One survey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. It will be conducted door-to-door in the area in and around Rue d’Argens in Gżira. Surveys will be conducted from 9am to 6pm. We aim to have 2 full months (November and December) of surveying in Gżira, but we will be finishing off depending on how many responses we have.
Location: Gżira streets (Exact street(s) will be appointed after signing up)
Time: Mark your availabilities in the application form; between November and in December from 9am to 6pm.
- Shift are 3 to 4 hours long. From 9am to 1pm, 12pm to 4pm, 3pm to 6pm.
- From Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
- On Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
- On Sunday there will be no survey collection.
Task: Going to door to door in the streets of Gzira, conducting surveys (each survey is 20-30min). You will work in groups, each group must at least complete 5 surveys in total.
Volunteers will be provided with a certificate.
Volunteer requirements:
- Volunteers need to be 16+
- Good level of English language
- Need to go to door to door and complete the survey (20-30 min each)
- Can choose throughout the two months period (November until December) minimum few hours by choice
