Communication & Events Lead Volunteer

Migrant Women Association Malta (MWAM) is looking for a volunteer to take the lead on communications and events as part of its fundraising strategy.

This is a skilled volunteering role for someone interested in helping MWAM strengthen public awareness, communicate its work clearly and build engagement around its activities and campaigns. The expected time commitment is approximately 15 hours per month.

What you’ll be doing

• Helping develop and deliver MWAM’s communication strategy.
• Managing communication across social media, website content, newsletters and public relations.
• Creating stories and communication materials that explain MWAM’s work and impact.
• Planning fundraising events and awareness campaigns together with the Fundraising Lead.
• Engaging with media and identifying opportunities for coverage.
• Helping maintain consistent messaging across communication channels.
• Coordinating with the MWAM team on communications for donors and volunteers.

Who this could suit

This role could suit someone with experience or strong skills in communications, social media, content creation, public relations, event planning or stakeholder engagement. It may be particularly interesting to someone who wants to contribute professional skills to a voluntary organisation while gaining practical experience in the non-profit sector.

Time commitment

MWAM estimates approximately 15 hours per month. The organisation also states that it welcomes people who can contribute anything from a few hours to a longer-term commitment.
