Fondazzjoni Sebħ began in 1956, founded by the Archdiocese of Malta to care for children in residential homes. In 2000, it expanded by opening Dar Qalb ta’ Ġesù, a shelter for women escaping domestic violence and their children. Today, this home is known as Il-Milja.

The foundation became an independent NGO in 2018. Since then, it has focused on helping vulnerable women and children rebuild their lives and return to the community. New services grew directly from the needs of those it serves. These include Community Family Services and dedicated Aftercare Services.

Fondazzjoni Sebħ remains committed to supporting children and families. Through residential care, community outreach, and therapy, our teams work with passion and purpose to make a real difference.
